Overview

International Working Holidays is an organization born, bred, and based in New Zealand. It all began with fairly humble beginnings as one person's desire to assist a few friends, and it has since grown exponentially.

Their programs have the power to shape individuals into wiser and more self-assured beings. The organization firmly believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to embark on a life-changing international working holiday. To make this more accessible to those who may otherwise struggle financially, they offer financial assistance for select programs.

Their Story

Vicki Kenny, the founder, and Managing Director of International Working Holidays, embarked on her own grand overseas experience in the UK in 1991. One thing led to another, and she found herself working as a live-in nanny.

Unfortunately, Vicki faced challenging situations without proper support when she encountered unfair treatment or encountered issues with bounced checks (it was the 90s, after all).

She began assisting her friends in finding nanny positions and expanded her efforts to connect screened New Zealanders with opportunities abroad. Throughout this process, she ensured they had support both in New Zealand and their destination country.

Vicki's main goal was to instill confidence and ensure the safety of those traveling overseas, especially when doing so alone for the first time.

Her passion lay in highlighting the transformative experience of living and working overseas, surpassing the mere concept of a holiday. Their programs possess the potential to transform individuals into more knowledgeable and self-assured versions of themselves.
