The Australian Border Force is Australia's frontline border law enforcement agency. The border is our greatest national asset and so the ABF works with domestic and international partners to combat a wide range of threats while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.
They are responsible for border operations on water and across land and sea ports, investigations, compliance, immigration enforcement functions and managing detention facilities. They also continue to be Australia's customs service, a function which makes them the Commonwealth's second largest revenue raiser and therefore vital to Australia's economic prosperity.
