Join our M&A Practice, based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane as Graduate Analyst in our dedicated Due Diligence and Private Equity team. The team is responsible for management and delivery of Insurance Due Diligence advisory for clients undertaking mergers, acquisitions, divestments and project financing activities. In addition, the team manages relationships with private equity firms and other investment companies and assists with the ongoing insurance arrangements of the private equity firms and their portfolio companies. We work closely with colleagues in financial lines, property, casualty and specialty to deliver Insurance Due Diligence reports and bring the best of WTW to our clients.

This role will be responsible for assisting the senior brokers to deliver high-quality due diligence reports and maintain key client relationships. The role would suit a diligent team player who is able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills, self-motivated and who can contribute to all aspects of client service and project delivery.

The Role:

  • Assisting the brokers with all aspects of delivery of Due Diligence reports, including premium calculations, report writing and liaising with specialist brokers in financial lines, property, casualty and workplace risk.
  • Engaging with other transaction stakeholders (lawyers, investment banks, accounting firms, investment funds, private equity firms and corporate clients) to develop relationships and coordinate the day-to-day delivery of projects.
  • Reviewing documentation, including sale and purchase agreements, due diligence reports, insurance programs and risk information, and producing reports and advice as requested.
  • Delivering superior client service by being responsive and available to meet clients’ demands and timelines.

The Requirements:

  • Must complete Tier 1 following role commencement
  • Excellent administrative and support skills
  • Sound oral & written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • You will need excellent time management skills and be aware of the time sensitive nature of advisory transactions, generally being required to handle and work on multiple projects at any one time
  • Proficient in all MS Office products
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, economics, legal, finance or similar preferred, however, other disciplines will be considered
  • Strong people skills with the ability to work with others under pressure, resolve conflict and negotiate effectively
