Working Hours at Victoria's Big Build

With the new way of working due to COVID-19, the company is very flexible with where and when you work. Family duties are understood and accommodated, so as long as you communicate your needs with your manager the flexibility is there.

I usually work 9-5, however the project is very flexible when it comes to hours.

Largely depended on the team, the project and stage of the project. Project client side rotations are mainly 9-5, those involved directly with construction on site may work more hours, 7-5pm depending on project needs. Note that long hours are typical for construction. The project has flexible arrangements for all situations.

In my experience the project is very flexible with hours, as long as you are getting the job done and it works with your team. It depends on the role you're in however, for example if you're working in a construction intensive team then you will be more constrained by construction schedule.

The company is open to flexible working hours. It isn't expected to work long hours and some managers push for you to leave the office on time.

The work hours here are very flexible. As I'm an early bird, I'm not the biggest fan of the average 9AM-5PM shift so all I had to do was ask my manager if I could do an 8AM-4PM shift instead, which I was able to do and commence within a week of starting work! Depending on the work we do, our managers are more than happy to negotiate different working arrangements to suit our needs.
