Formal training: Formal training is self-initiated and highly structured. Training courses are specific to your role and can be funded by DWER upon agreement of terms. Informal training: Informal training constitutes online lectures, tutorials and information videos that are distributed to employees regularly. This type of training is free of charge and helps build understanding of the organisation.

There are many opportunities to partake in training in the department from writing, to admin, and new systems. Some training can be restricted to people of certain levels. There is study leave available as well.
