About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity available to join Restaurant Brands Australia’s Taco Bell People & Culture team! This position is full-time and is based at the Restaurant Brands Australia, Restaurant Support Centre which is located in Pyrmont NSW. The role will work in a Hybrid environment with a mix of work from home, in office, and some work to be completed in a restaurant environment when required.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in the QSR, Hospitality or Retail Industry and has completed or is close to completing a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field. This role is suited to a graduate or someone with 1-2 years of experience in human resources who are looking to gain experience in a quickly growing and exciting QSR brand.

Key Responsibilities of the role include: 

  • Responding to all general HR queries from a restaurant level, including team members, management, and parents of employees.
  • Advise the Operations team on employment relations matters, managing grievance and misconduct claims in accordance with policy, including end-to-end investigations, and liaise with Union and Legal representatives when required.
  • Assist the People & Culture Manager in strategic people and culture projects.
  • Manage salaried employee onboarding and off-boarding process.
  • Assist in recruitment and selection activities for the Restaurant Support Centre, existing restaurants, and new restaurants.
  • Manage the Company’s recruitment and self-service platforms and respond to all employee queries relating to the platform.
  • Manage the administration of Taco Bell's Yammertime platform and Yammertime engagement initiatives.
  • Manage the Company's engagement surveys as required. 
  • Manage the Taco Bell recognition shop including creation of new merchandise items.
  • Manage the Taco Bell Brand’s Parental Leave process and all Parental Leave administration.
  • Create, update, and implement Company policies, HR forms, documents, and resources when required.
  • Monitor and complete Government claim forms, ensuring all funding is received and allocated accordingly.
  • Compile accurate periodic People reports for the People & Culture Manager and Finance Team.
  • General administrative tasks and other duties as required.

Our ideal candidate will have... 

  • The ability to work from the Pyrmont office at least 2 days per week.
  • A passion for people and leadership development.
  • A high-level of experience in the Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel.
  • The ability to prepare reports, interpret data and provide insights to the field team.
  • Resilience, a high level of attention to detail, and are highly organized.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and an ability to demonstrate and maintain positive working relationships.
  • The capability of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Demonstration of a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
  • A valid Australian drivers license and full working rights in Australia. 
  • The ability to travel within NSW to visit restaurants when required.
