Career Prospects at Sparke Helmore Lawyers

There's always room to grow and I can see the different promotion avenues available.

Attending the junior mentoring sessions run by Catherine Morton and Sally Weatherstone has been so invaluable! They are fabulous, and explained/broke down the process of being promoted and how to progress in your career. I am also looking forward to starting the mentoring program to get more tailored advice. I do struggle to understand why when a graduate is admitted, Sparkes re-issues an employment contract and increases their charge out rate, however, their salary remains as it was as a grad. I think valuing this progression with remuneration is reasonable and would avoid the issue of the graduate cohort starting a year behind them earning more than admitted lawyers with an additional year of experience.

It seems to be very much team and partner dependent.
