What you’ll do:

As a Government Grants Graduate, you will support companies across Australia to apply for Government Grants. You will learn about a range of grant programs offered by Federal and State Governments and work as part of RSM’s grants team to advise organisations and prepare applications.

The position provides exposure to a variety of industries, including renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, medical sciences, engineering, mining and resources, agricultural technologies, defence, space and community development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to support the end-to-end preparation of grant submissions, including meetings and correspondence with clients, collating documentation, drafting applications and preparing supporting documents. Clear written communication is essential;
  • Research a variety of funding programs and support the team to maintain an up-to-date awareness of State and Federal grants and related policies;
  • Generate communications for publicising grant opportunities, both internally and externally;
  • Assist with the development of standardised grants materials such as Engagement Letters and templates;
  • Attend networking events and, with support from the grants team, build internal and external networks to facilitate Business Development opportunities.

Who you are:

You are an ideal candidate for this role if:

  • You are currently studying towards or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Commerce, or Law;
  • You have strong writing skills and pay attention to detail;
  • You have good project management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines;
  • You have strong analytical and information synthesis skills (e.g. the ability to draw out critical information and provide well-reasoned arguments);
  • Integrity is one of your core values, and you hold yourself and those you work with to a high standard of professionalism and mutual respect.
