Job Description

Please Note: This is a student role suited to a candidate currently studying HSE/WHS

Robert Bosch (Australia) seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Student to join our HSE team on a Full-Time basis based at our Clayton headquarters for 12-months commencing early September 2024. There will be occasional travel to other Bosch sites within Victoria (Dandenong, Anglesea) so a driver’s license is preferable but not essential.

You will gain valuable experience and knowledge as an integral part of our Health, Safety & Environment team. Some of the tasks that you will undertake with us include: 

  • Providing broad exposure, understanding, and learning of a HSE function in a multinational organisation
  • Assisting the HSE Manager and HSE Specialist in reviewing HSE management system and training content, updates, and deployment
  • Gaining experience and provide support in various HSE activities including systems, audits, campaigns, and training
  • Participating in the development and implementation of an effective HSE management system through review and updating of content in line with legislation and relevant standards (i.e., policy and procedure content review)
  • Maintaining HSE statistical data (toolbox, EHS Database entry)
  • Assisting with ISO audit preparations and post-audit action plan tracking.

Qualifications

You will have excellent attention to detail, have the ability to prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines, work well with teams and have excellent organisational and communication skills.

To be considered for our Student Program, you are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled in and completed units towards an Undergraduate degree in studies within WHS or similar relevant degree (i.e., Cert 4, Diploma or Bachelors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel
  • Previous work experience, especially in a team or professional environment is highly regarded
  • Familiarity with SAP highly regarded but not essential
  • Good research ability and be well-organised, positive, with a can-do attitude
  • Results-oriented approach and a drive to achieve outcomes.
