Your role

Launch a meaningful and dynamic legal career by contributing to an in-house Legal team dedicated to providing high-quality legal services and commercial legal advice to various stakeholders resulting in excellent customer outcomes.

As a bank with a clear strategic focus on both empowering the employees and being a ‘rock solid bank’, the graduate program in the Legal team is designed to develop and foster the graduate’s understanding of the legal risks facing the business and how best to manage these, so as to protect the interests of the bank.

To develop a well-rounded knowledge of the bank, you will also be placed on three short-term rotations within risk and compliance, rural or regional branches, and operations. Selected Graduates will also be placed on a short-term international rotation to connect with colleagues in the global head office in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

About you

Qualifications:

  • Final year of an undergraduate or postgraduate law degree, or have recently completed your study within the past three years
  • Available to start full-time employment in the Sydney office from February 2025.
  • Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
  • Passion for the food and agribusiness industry would be advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to plan and organise self.
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication at all levels both written and verbal.

Training & development

Rabo Graduate Program offers a unique opportunity for university graduates to forge a meaningful career path through Rabobank. Through the bespoke 18-month rotational program, the selected graduate will be exposed to a number of key legal functions within the Sydney office of the bank (i.e. Wholesale Banking, Rural Banking, Major Agri Clients Banking, Corporate Legal and Governance), allowing the graduate to develop a well-rounded knowledge and understanding of the bank from a legal perspective.
