What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Pay is decent but could be a little higher. It is, however, not a dealbreaker.
Senior Consultant, Sydney - 05 Mar 2024
Lots of opportunities and different ways to maximize bonus
Graduate, Canberra - 04 Mar 2024
their sufficient for this level of work.
Graduate, Canberra - 04 Mar 2024
Pay is industry standard and bonuses are generous and calculated upon many different aspects which are transparent and communicated.
Senior Consultant, Sydney - 27 Feb 2024
Horrible. No negotiations. No responsibility is taken for why they can't meet your salary expectations. There is no transparency.
Manager, Canberra - 23 Feb 2024
The pay structure is disappointing. Pay differs between solutions, which is understandable where staff are actually performing tasks that require specialised skills (e.g., technology consulting). However, there are a large number of technology consulting staff which rarely perform technology consulting work and yet are paid more than their IAFA colleagues for doing the same jobs. Protiviti seems to try to keep pay as 'fair' as possible by paying everyone the same, regardless of if they produce higher quality work or are more dedicated than others. Regarding bonuses, this suffers from a similar affliction. You can work significantly more than others and still be paid the bare minimum you are entitled to.
Manager, Brisbane - 23 Feb 2024
As a graduate consultant, the pay is about middle of the road for consulting salaries. but work life balance is much better than other firms.
Graduate, Melbourne - 22 Feb 2024
I don't think it is competitive, but it is on par.
Graduate, Brisbane - 21 Feb 2024
The bonus at the end of the year is great news.
Graduate, Sydney - 20 Feb 2024
The salary for a Senior Con does not meet other industry-based roles. I.e. moving to the industry will yield me a bonus $10-30k increase in base pay. I believe that if a Senior Con was directly involved in a sale or retaining of a client they should be compensated. i.e. 1 x MD, 1 X Senior Manager and 1 X Consultant extend a contract due to the hard work of all 3, they should be financially rewarded.
Graduate, Brisbane - 20 Feb 2024
Pay as a graduate could be higher but the bonuses are very reasonable.
Graduate, Sydney - 21 Nov 2023
I do wish the pay was higher due to sydney inflation
Graduate, Sydney - 21 Nov 2023
pay is good. bonus scheme is not good. giving half of the bonus in november is a bit sneaky as everyone knows it's just to keep people here. If the bonuses make up a certain allocation of your pay to allow it to reach industry standard, then regardless of when you leave the company you should be given a bonus as it is correlated to performance and chargeability.
Graduate, Canberra - 20 Nov 2023
The annual salary has been fine. Besides the ICP bonus, we have not received another bonus in a long time. We still receive email updates on how much robert half makes which increases the question of where are the bonuses.
Graduate, Canberra - 20 Nov 2023
Pay is slightly below competitors. Bonuses are fair and well defined.
Graduate, Melbourne - 30 Oct 2023
Some pay incentives are unclear.

Good leave policy - allows for volunteer leave which I really appreciate
Manager, Melbourne - 04 Mar 2024
Bonuses based upon workplace engagement outside of client work eg. clubs Generous expense policy Discounted fitness memberships Free health aspects such as skin checks and vaccinations
Senior Consultant, Sydney - 27 Feb 2024
There are limited perks outside of payment of your monthly phone bill and an occasional lunch. Leave policies are the same if not worse than most other companies. It is also disappointed to be forced to take 75% of your annual leave accruals when Protiviti mandates instead of when you would like to take leave.
Manager, Brisbane - 23 Feb 2024
We don't get any perks. Everything is calculated in the best interest of the company. You have to fight for every little thing you want.
Manager, Canberra - 23 Feb 2024
The leave policies, especially parental leave, are very generous.
