Generally, graduates and junior level lawyers are given good opportunities to get involved in interesting work at an early stage. Typical tasks may include drafting due diligence reports, assisting to coordinate discovery projects, conducting contract reviews/mark-ups and drafting of various documents/agreements. As you become more familiar working within your team, you may also be given opportunities to take on some case/deal management responsibilities which often involves client contact and contact with representatives from international offices.

There's a lot of variation in day-to-day work, with different training sessions, team meetings, client meetings and opportunities to work collaboratively with other juniors as well as learning from seniors. A great part of the graduate program is the opportunity to work with a wide range of colleagues, which allows you to work on varied matters across different sectors.

As a graduate, I am mostly involved in smaller tasks such as compiling chronologies and drafting documents, but all work which I find very interesting and which serves a purpose

Support partners, Senior associates and associates in preparation of litigation, mediation and other court proceedings. Conduct legal research. Attend counsel meetings with associates. Participate in committees.
