Application Process & Interviews at Partners in Performance

Very typical management consulting hiring process: two rounds of x2 interviews with partners or directors, including both behavioural questions and case studies.

4x case interviews paired with behavioural questions

Graduate interviews: Round 1 - 2 back-to-back case study phone interviews with managers / associate principals If successful, you also get some coaching for the next interview which is really helpful Round 2 (final round) interviews - 2 back-to-back in-person / virtual case study interviews with different directors

Initial phone interview screen followed by 2 stages of interviews involving 2 case interviews at each stage.

Questions related to case studies (both numerical and qualitative). Situational and behavioural questions

A few behavioural questions at the start (e.g. tell me a bit about yourself) followed by a case study interview based on previous engagements the interviewer did

A combination of standard and case study questions which involved on the spot problem-solving.

For the case study question, make sure you know what Value Driver Trees are and how to apply them. This is a big component of what we do in practice.

1. Do a bit of research - understand company values, strengths, etc 2. Practice case study interviews with a friend/etc - focus on structure, effective communication and asking the "right" questions to help get to the answer
