How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
My work hours would normally be 7.5 hours per day. It is very flexible in our company as we can have in and out for the week, like if I have the appointment on Monday morning, I can out of office for 2 hours for it.

I work as much as I am available. In University break I am able to work full time.
Intern, Sydney - 20 Jul 2022
fairly flexible, but engineering is a collaborative environment and encourage similar office hours. But very flexible with working from home as well.
Graduate, Melbourne - 20 Jul 2022
I work 7.5 hours a day which is manageable. I haven't required much flexibility in hours but from what I've seen with other coworkers the company is very accommodation for people who need to work flexible hours.
Graduate, Erina - 19 Jul 2022
37.5 hours in a week with some overtime if necessary but it evens out when you might need to leave early on some days cause of personal commitments etc
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Jul 2022
I feel it's quite flexible, although it's mentioned that I start working on a specific hours, as long as you are efficient in your work and finishes your tasks, it's completely fine.
Graduate, Sydney - 19 Jul 2022
Have the flexibility to work from home when required
Graduate, Newcastle - 18 Jul 2022
It is very flexible as they understand when other commitments or appointments or sickness come up. They are not overly strict but trust that you are doing the most honourable and right thing. As long as I make up time that I've missed they are not overly upset.
Graduate, Newcastle - 13 Jul 2022
The team has been very supportive of me taking time off for university at late notice (if I haven't planned my life properly) which I have really appreciated. My work availability is entirely up to me as well, I chose to only work 3 days a week which Northrop agreed to, and even allowed me to choose the days. While my work days are 8:30am-5pm, if something comes up and I have to start/finish later, it's usually totally fine.
Intern, Brisbane - 13 Jul 2022
As an employee, I have always been busy and I have also had the opportunity to work overtime hours from time to time. Northrop encourages flexibility within the workplace and there is also opportunity to work from home to promote a work/life balance.

Average hours per week are around 40. Northrop offers flexible work hours, this can be discussed with managers.
Graduate, Wollongong - 08 Jul 2022
9 - 5PM - though it's very flexible to accommodate personal commitments
Graduate, Melbourne - 07 Jul 2022
Northrop understands that flexibility is important and provide the option to work from home. It is encouraged that staff are in the office on Mondays and Fridays to ensure culture is maintained. For newer engineers, it is invaluable to have people in the office that can provide assistance when it is needed.
Intern, Brisbane - 07 Jul 2022
7.5 hours per day (8:30-5:00), very flexible work hours
Intern, Sydney - 07 Jul 2022
8 hours a day is quiet standard. Yet the company is flexible on when these hours are completed
Graduate, Sydney - 06 Jul 2022
Northrop is flexible with the hours you work. However, I have noticed that people here work hard, and it is not uncommon for employees to work longer than 7.5 hrs a day
Graduate, Charlestown - 06 Jul 2022
Very flexible. Allow me to largely dictate my hours as a casual. Also, relatively flexible about WFH
Intern, Melbourne - 06 Jul 2022
If I need to take time off work for any reason, it has always been given. I can nominate the days i work at home. Northrop realises you have a life outside the office and wants to accommodate this.
