Mazars is very flexible when it comes to hours, as long as you meet the minimum of 37.5 for the week they are happy. They do prefer you are available for regular office hours but they have no issue with a once off appointment or change in hours.

In terms of number of hours I think it's been great. There's only been a few times when working more than 40 hours has been required, and it hasn't felt like a burden. I simply put 5 because I'm getting a bit sick of working from home. I do appreciate not having to travel to work, but I'd like to be able to find a balance between being at home and in the office

Typically 8.30-5 with a one hour lunch break and coffee breaks and snack breaks in between. They are quite flexible in that if you have an appointment or have to do something while working from home, you can leave your desk for that short period of time. It also helps if you give notice that you will be away from a short period of time from your desk. If you need to change your hours one day and do not take leave. You will need to make up the hours, as we work on timesheets where you are required to do 6 chargeable hours a day (Charged time to the client, not just admin, etc)

Unfortunately we have been in lockdown for the majority of my employment but I was happy with the hybrid approach to working in office that has been implemented.
