Your role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Law Graduate to join the Corporate Transactions team in Sydney on a permanent basis. LegalVision was founded to improve access for every business to quality legal services, disrupt the traditional law firm model, and promote a culture of technological innovation in Australia and beyond. As a Graduate of LegalVision, you will play a critical role in bringing this mission to life.

You will assist and work alongside a team of highly experienced Capital Raising and Corporate M+A lawyers to deliver quality work and an exceptional experience to every client you interact with. They act for an incredibly diverse client base, including early-stage start-ups, scale-ups, VCs, government growth funds, angel investors and venture debt providers. They assist with a broad range of transactions including pre-seed capital raising to Series F rounds and beyond; small business sales to large, complex M+A deals; and debt (including venture debt) transactions.

What You’ll Be Doing

Under the supervision of the Practice Leaders and Senior Lawyers, you’ll be communicating with clients and taking care of matters from your first month! A typical day for graduate lawyers may include (among other things):

  • Conducting legal research.
  • Providing oral and written advice to clients on a broad range of legal matters (including as part of their industry-leading Legal Advice Consultation service).
  • Drafting simple transaction documents.
  • Preparing board and shareholder resolutions and other ancillary documents.
  • Preparing ASIC updates.
  • Assisting with due diligence (such as undertaking company and PPSR searches).

Training & development

You will receive comprehensive formal and on-the-job training focused on technical legal knowledge, matter management, and client service to give you a strong understanding of the legal needs of Australian businesses, in order to provide pragmatic advice.

Benefits

At LegalVision, you will receive the following perks:

  • Fast-paced environment with accelerated growth opportunities for high performers.
