About the Sales Development Program:

Gartner offers world-class training (yes, you read that correctly), meaning we invest heavily in you and your career. Throughout the program, you will be mentored and supported and at the completion of the program, you will progress into a role that suits you! Our program will:

  • Prepare recent graduates for an exciting rewarding career with an 18–24-month program structure
  • Build the foundational skills and understanding required to be successful in a sales role through on-the-job training
  • Teach you the sales process and client lifecycle, what happens after the 1st call and how we onboard a client
  • Give you the opportunity to lead sales conversations, work within a safe space to develop your commercials skills as well as take on your own clients

What you will do:

On top of being a part of our Gartner family and in many of our social, charitable and learning events, you will be involved with:

  • Conducting lead generations, prospecting, and qualifying new clients
  • Research companies, C-level Executives, business trends and competitive intelligence to create a strategic communication plan
  • Schedule calls with prospective clients via phone and email (including cold calling)
  • Educate prospective clients on Gartner’s renowned products and services
  • Shadow and partner with existing Business Development Managers and Account Executives to learn from their sales knowledge and achieve annual revenue targets as a team

Who you are:

Gartner is open to all graduates who have a natural curiosity about sales and business interactions. On top of this, you will need to have:

  • Bachelors degree preferred but not required, all levels of tertiary education welcome to apply
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn and process information quickly
  • Receptivity to coaching and feedback
  • Ability to plan and prioritise tasks and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with others and problem solve
  • Ability to persevere when faced with a challenge
