What projects/initiatives does your employer run and what have you worked on personally?
There are plenty of social and indigenous procurement initiatives. You are encouraged in your career development to find suppliers that provides CSR positive goods and services. It is a tough industry to mitigate carbon dioxide emissions but the company is pushing towards net zero.

We endeavour to socially procure resources from business that are aboriginally owned or providing employment for people with disabilities, second chances or less privileged backgrounds. As engineers we are encouraged to keep an eye out and utilise these types of business.

Fulton Hogan has recently released its current reconciliation plan which includes smoking ceremonies and cultural awareness training sessions among other things which is a good step in the right direction for CSR.

As I mentioned in the above sections those are some of the initiatives that are run throughout FH Australia and NZ as well. I haven't gotten a chance to participate in any but I would take the first opportunity I get.
