What projects/initiatives does your employer run and what have you worked on personally?
We run a number of initiatives with UNICEF and other non-for-profit organizations in which we offer pro-bono legal advice and services.

The office I work in conducts a wide variety of CSR work for clients and I think that assists us in ensuring that CSR matters are prioritised within our own organisation on a daily basis.

CSR is a hugely important part of DLA Piper and we have a significant pro bono practice which in 2020 saw our global network devote over 200,000 hours to Pro Bono activities. Personally I have worked with our Iris Represents initiate which provides pro bono assistance LGBT+ NGOs, individuals and organisations, which has been incredibly satisfying work.

Significant pro bono commitment of which I have been involved in a few projects relating to the climate crisis and statelessness. Also about to start a project that will support the empowerment of First Nations-led truth-telling. The firm also recently launched eMission 2030 campaign.
