Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Supportive and welcoming. Expectation to be available if needed after hours if requests from Ministers' Offices are expected.

It depends on the direct team. During my graduate year I found one team particularly good and the other two not great. One was very toxic, where the team would always talk bad about others, another was a bit lonely.

Differs from team to team, currently very levelled hierarchy that is social in and out of work hours. Other teams have been hierarchy and no socialising.

Better when working in office, generally flat hierarchy with less specialisation, generally cooperative (but shifting towards contractor/APS divide), socialising is harder when remote. Used to eat cake all the time.

not great socialising and consideration of personal lives/burnout. due to a lot of urgent work there can be issues with just getting work done and being run into the ground without fun/collaborative times

My immediate team and branch has a fantastic work culture. We are very social and supportive and open to improving business processes. Any issues I have experienced have been due to more senior/SES level individuals and some toxic behaviours. But I have always felt comfortable and supported by my immediate work area.

The work culture at health is very good and I like everyone that I work with in my team. The vast majority of people in the Department are respectful and good to work with. There are some bad people in the Department like there are in any workplace, but these people are the exception not the rule. Most supervisors and people in leadership work well with people and are approachable. People don't get a lot of say in policy decisions unless they are very high up in the department.

My team's structure and hierarchy is very good compared to the Department overall. Colleagues are relatively sociable whilst maintaining awareness about people's preferences.

positive and supportive workplace culture. structure and hierarchy follows the standard APS.

My team is great. We are professional with great work ethic, but also know the importance of connecting and trusting the people we work with. We have morning catch ups everyday and occasionally go for after work drinks. When it comes to structure and hierarchy, that is across the whole Department, but my section has a flatter structure as we all work together to achieve strategic objectives.
