Student engineering vacation role. Ensuring our project is completed by the end of the vacation ship.

I try to get further in the overall goal, often this is difficult as the topic is very complex and I stumble on many minor issues. But do not have much assistance.

My research project is computer-based so I spend most of my time at my desk. Other than that I attend meetings and seminars.

There's a level of autonomy which is nice if you enjoy being a self-starter.

I am doing a research project and it is my responsibility to obtain data through experiments and analyse this data to produce a report and presentation.

My typical day involves reading research papers and reimplementing the techniques relevant to our project. Latter I will work on improving the existing techniques and writing papers.

I am assisting in the collection of data for a PhD candidate's project. it involves recruiting and interviewing participants over the phone.

Extremely self directed, ad hoc planning is - not clear documentation.

Summer project. I work with other interns to create code to visualise and analyse datasets. Organise meetings. Follow-up on emails.

My role is collating data and assisting with a desktop study as part of a hydrological assessment for two water resource projects. I am mostly working on excel and ArcGIS. My main responsibility is to characterise aquifers in Northern Australia using lithological and spatial data.

I am using software tools to extract information from data collecting by telescopes. Day to day I debug software and apply calibration and flagging techniques

My day-to-day responsibility is assisting in establishing a framework for a mentoring program. I am currently writing up policies and procedures to be used in the program.

I get to work on a project, mostly self-guided with a supervisor for oversight and to make sure I'm progressing well.

Most work is self-managed, with occasional check-ins from supervisor. Expected to be able to plan project, including timelines, tasks to be completed, sourcing equipment, troubleshooting, etc. If anything goes wrong or hit a roadblock, can rely on other members of the team to help out to resolve the issue

Role involves building apps for healthcare
