There are always opportunities for progression - typically promotions are done on time at the firm (as well as billable hours).
Graduate, Sydney - 27 Oct 2023
There is a set promotion policy that has clear guidelines/standards and timeframes of when promotion is expected. However this is flexible and can be deviated from if there are exceptional circumstances or performance.
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Oct 2023
Clear career progress. Generally those who put in the effort are rewarded.
Graduate, Melbourne - 26 Oct 2023
There are clearly articulated polices which set timelines and requirements for promotion, which are eminently achievable. There are many examples of young lawyers being promoted 'ahead of time', and the firm provides ample opportunity for juniors to prove themselves in what is also a very supportive environment.
Graduate, Sydney - 25 Oct 2023
Overall not worried about this aspect, as juniors seem to be able to work up the ranks relatively quickly (e.g. associate with 1-2 PQE, senior associate from 4-5). Some doubt over how easy it is to move into partnership when the time comes.
