I enjoy my role and day-to day responsibilities, but being a grad the unpredictability of workflow and lack of control of the work you do is frustrating and makes it difficult to find stability and get into a routine with work.

Attend to tasks from senior lawyers, attend training sessions and meetings.

Reasonably satisfied with level of work and responsibility given, seems appropriate for a grad

Coordinating matters, file management, research, drafting advices, letters, emails, communicating internally and externally.

A lot of my work revolves around doing the brunt of the due diligence on deals.

Drafting, legal research, document review, proof reading and editing, taking file notes, anything else required by seniors.

Graduate

Variety of research, drafting, admin type work, proofreading and editing, matter management with HPLC clients, attendance at mediation - good variety and haven't felt out of my depth.

I am given work which is challenging and I have responsibility over.

Graduate - role varies particularly with each team. Some teams ask graduates to do more more knowledge management and bd work. Other teams is more billable work.

I thoroughly enjoy my role and feel like I am given a good amount of responsibility. However, on some occasions it feels as if there is room for improvement to ensure the higher responsibility is proportionate to the amount of briefing/training received.

Generally I am very happy to be actively involved in various tasks including: drafting, reviewing, researching, attending client meetings. I enjoy having autonomy to have first cuts at drafting contracts or advice, and having feedback sessions on where I can improve.
