Corporate Social Responsibility at Chevron Australia

We have created a team that focus on renewable energies which targets greener energy sources. However, I have not heard of many more projects we are working on in the CSR space.

I've been impressed. I've been peripherally involved with some of the school outreach we do, which I think is very positive. I've touch on some data science work in the environmental space, and I know there's a lot more work in that area than I've personally worked on.

Chevron sponsors community events, has volunteering days, helps development communities in which our operations are based, are committed to reducing carbon emissions through new energy projects including carbon capture and sequestration.

Only recently started paying tax is this country, but better late than never I suppose. They have a number of other initiatives - supporting local charities and events.

Make no mistake, Chevron is in the business of fossil fuels. There is a strong focus on reducing emissions and transitioning to new energies, but for the foreseeable future, the core business is in hydrocarbons.

Fund the Perth Chevron Marathon, Fire disasters, Onslow infrastructure builds where they have the Wheatstone project, contribute to COVID relief and other blood donating charities along with CO2 reinjection to decrease greenhouse gas emissions

There is a number of programs in which Chevron supports the local community. Tree plantings, cooking for the homeless and fun runs.

Powering Careers in Energy (high school outreach) A range of networks to support the LGBTQI+ community, support those with disabilities, support Women, support generational inclusivity.

Trying to lower carbon. 7/10 is pretty good
