Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
Even as a grad i have been encouraged to apply for different roles
Graduate, BNE - 25 Oct 2021
Not great visibility on career options/pathways and expected milestones.
Graduate, Williamtown - 22 Oct 2021
Can see it, just hard to achieve at the moment
Graduate, Brisbane - 22 Oct 2021
It's fairly simple to move from being an intern to a grad and then out of the grad program, but after that the opportunities to move up the ranks become pretty thin. It takes a lot of hard work and knowing the right people.
Midlevel, Brisbane - 21 Oct 2021
Progression is quick while on the grad program, for the first 2-3 years salary increases are sizeable.
Graduate, Brisbane - 18 Oct 2021
Lots of informal mentoring and training to gradually ready someone to take on greater responsibility. (eg. involving junior engineer in a more complex task, but with a bit more oversight from senior engineer). Encourage people to work on diverse problems/processes to build more wholistic knowledge base. Lateral movement (move into different roles at the same level) is encouraged. Need to express desire for this, otherwise will be left alone.
Graduate, Newcastle - 15 Oct 2021
Promotions for students, grads and early career are very structured and do not allow for salary negotiation, do not account for experience either in general or with the company
Midlevel, Brisbane - 13 Oct 2021
At this time this hasn't been explain to me in detail, but know it is available.
Graduate, Brisbane - 13 Oct 2021
I believe you can move up from a P1, all the way to a P4. This comes with more experience and the more you work in the company.
Graduate, Williamtown - 13 Oct 2021
I am always encouraged in my work and feel that promotions are attainable and the career progression is very good.
Graduate, Brisbane - 13 Oct 2021
A conversation with your manager is usually all that is needed to start looking at what you need to do to line yourself up for a promotion. There are many different career paths available and a lot of resources for extra information.
Graduate, Brisbane - 13 Oct 2021
Lateral and vertical movement possible - not much experience in this as a recent grad but from hearing other's experiences Experience, willingness to experience something new and take on a new challenge all contribute to your likelihood of being able to take up a new opportunity
Graduate, Williamtown, NSW - 13 Oct 2021
Engineering authority is required for technical promotions There are promotion opportunities into people and project management too
Graduate, Brisbane - 13 Oct 2021
Plenty of room to move around, and I certainly think there will be opportunity to go up.
