Current opportunity 

We currently have opportunities available for a People & Culture Administrator to join our People & Culture team in both Melbourne and Sydney. The P&C team are a high-performing, engaged and supportive team. This role is a great permanent opportunity for someone looking to start or further their career in Human Resources. The role is responsible for providing operational and administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle with a focus on on-boarding, employee movements, wellness and benefits, performance reviews, employee engagement, reporting and People and Culture projects.

Duties for this position will include but not be limited to:

  • Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Administrator, coordinate the on-boarding and off-boarding processes for all new starters and leavers.
  • Staff movements including maintaining records, coordinating and creating letters, communicating with the appropriate teams.
  • Working with other members of the P&C team to coordinate and promote the employee Wellbeing Program, BDO benefits and engagement surveys/initiatives.
  • Records management including maintaining digital P&C records including employee files.
  • Workplace Health & Safety including the maintenance of the First Aid kits and arranging ergonomic workstation assessments, processing recommendations as required.
  • Providing assistance with the annual remuneration review process, including running the letter preparation process.
  • Assist the People and Culture Adviser with the CA program including coordinating logistics for enrolment, focus sessions, textbooks, study support and results.
  • Oversee study progress for Undergraduates and Graduates and support inductions into the firm.
  • Assist with other departmental activities and people related projects as appropriate and practice the principles of excellent client service at all times.
  • Prepare and submit people reports, including gender reporting, leave and other ad hoc reporting.
  • Provide support to the P&C team in a range of activities as required.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR/Business Management degree (or equivalent);
  • Administration or HR experience in a medium to large sized organisation is desirable;
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Ability to maintain employee confidentiality at all times;
  • Strong Word, Excel, Outlook skills;
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills;
  • Comfortable and confident in facilitating regular new starter inductions and training;
  • Energetic in a fast paced environment and comfortable being the point of contact for the team;
  • Embodies strong attention to detail and brings a positive, self-motivated approach to the role.
