Your role

The Team

The Insurance & Health team is headed up by 33 industry-leading principals across six states. Within the insurance space, the award-winning team is known for producing high-quality advice and delivering exceptional client service. The team handles claims across all major classes of insurance and acts for the biggest names in the insurance industry, both locally and overseas. The principals that head up the team for this role are Peter Murdoch and Megan Daniel.

The Role

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a range of defendant insurance matters including public liability and personal injury claims. If you join Barry Nilsson, you will become adept at Court and Tribunal practice and procedure, drafting advices for insurance claims officers in an array of commercial disputes covered by insurers and assessing cover for an insured under a policy of insurance.

About you

They are currently seeking a Law Graduate or Junior Solicitor to join the team in Brisbane on a full-time permanent basis. 

The Successful Candidate

They would love to hear from you if you have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Successful completion of your law degree;
  • Intent to start OR successful completion of Practical Legal Training, with the ability to get admitted;
  • Interest in defendant litigation;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic;
  • Team player.
