Your new role  

The AustralianSuper 2025 Intern Program is an exciting opportunity to build a career with a growing global investor. Commencing in June / July 2025, you will be exposed to a variety of our teams, developing the investment capabilities and skills to help our members achieve the best possible outcomes in retirement.   

You will be exposed to professionals across all of our Investment Asset classes, as well as other functions required to support them, giving you the chance to build broad relationships, gain a deeper understanding of how each of these areas operate and participate in initiatives with other teams and functions.   

Our offices are in Midtown Manhattan based at 1251 Avenue of the Americas. 

As an AustralianSuper intern, you will be a part of and work directly with our Investments Teams on transactions and Asset Management issues and initiatives, providing a unique opportunity to work directly with experienced investment professionals.  

As an Investments intern, you will be able to working with and learning from our Private Equities, Real Assets & Private Credit teams.  

Joining for 8-10 weeks from June / July to September, you will work directly with two of our asset class teams on real-life investment projects, forming views and presenting these findings back to Investments colleagues and leaders. You will be exposed to a range of investment methodologies and obtain firsthand knowledge of the investment process. You will also work on a variety of interesting and challenging business issues, gaining meaningful insights into how we deliver outstanding investment outcomes for members.   

Following the successful completion of the Intern Program we intend to offer Graduate placement opportunities commencing in Aug/Sept 2026.  

What you’ll need

  • Be in your final or penultimate year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree
  • Be able to join the Intern Program for 8-10 weeks from June / July 2025 to August 2025
  • Be able to commence full time employment commencing September 2026 (2026 Graduate Program)
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.

Pay transparency notice 

The salary range for this position is $85,000USD or $47USD per hour pro rata (this is based on full-time hours, located in New York City). The base pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience and refers to the amount AustralianSuper is willing to pay at the time of posting.
