Summary 
We are looking for 2022-2023 Retail Banking Commercial team in Sydney. Join Retail Banking Services to support the delivery of seamless banking experiences of the future to over 10 million customers. The Australian Network on Disability (AND) is offering students with disability the opportunity to participate in Commonwealth Bank’s prestigious Summer Intern Program 2022/23 as part of Stepping Into.

Am I eligible?

  • Applicants must be in the penultimate (second last) year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Australian citizens and permanent residents only.
  • Applicants must have at least a credit average across their degree.
  • Applicants must be available to work full-time, 5 days per week from 28 November 2022 – 10 February 2023 (exclusive of Christmas break).
  • Applicants from all degree areas are encouraged to apply.

The program commences on the 28th of November 2022, where you’ll join as a full-time employee over the summer. Here you’ll get a taste of what it’s like working at CommBank through formal learning events and workplace-based experiential learning, to help you decide if we’re the right fit for you.

The program centres around 4 key elements:

  • Shine: Contribute from day one by working on real projects that impact our business and our customers, within Australia’s largest bank.
  • Develop: Participate in market-leading training to develop your technical and soft skills. This will help with the transition to full-time work from university over the summer, and ensure you excel in your immediate and future roles.
  • Network: Build networks and friendships through unparalleled access to senior leaders, project leads and program sponsors, enhancing your personal and business profile.
  • Contribute: Give back to the community through Intern initiatives, driving positive change across our organisation and improving the wellbeing of our Intern cohort.

This 10-week Program provides exposure across our diverse business. You’ll receive training and networking opportunities, be supported by a buddy and have the chance to contribute meaningfully to our business.
