The training programmes are very detailed and based in the real world. My legal research skills have already improved.

ABL's graduate training session in Melbourne was really fantastic - it was engaging and taught us really important practical skills. We also get structured training sessions for SLT which are really informative and useful. Informal training has also been really good, as I've learned a lot from asking questions and being explained tasks on the job.

Comprehensive and as practical as can be

We do Supervised Legal Training, unlike most other firms. Therefore, what we learn is taught to us by the firm's own partners and outsourced advisors. We learn practical tips that will enhance our capabilities on the job.

SLT is much better than PLT sessions

The SLT sessions are interesting and a good chance to learn about all aspects of corporate law. I also get plenty of training sessions with people in my practice group to familiarise me with all the relevant areas.

The firm has obviously honed its training over many years.

ABL runs an SLT program to train their graduates to be lawyers. I love this approach - they value learning on the job, from real practitioners across the firm, on real matters. We also had a 1-week, comprehensive induction week when we started to help us settle in.
