Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
The company has a highly visible LGBTQI+ group, my sector has a high proportion of females in senior management roles however the engineering sector of the company still has a bit to go to achieve a good balance.

My team has lots of women in senior roles, and members of the team from all around the world.

I feel that the team is quite diverse with respect to the number of women and people of ethnic minority. I haven't personally experienced issues such as child care and maternity leave but from what I have seen with others the company is very supportive.

Generally up to industry standard for diversity, with efforts to move this bar higher (can feel very individually lead and could use with more official company support). There are still massive issues with retention and recruitment, but not for diversity reasons.

I love how there is a HUGE amount of diversity within my office, I love how it is not just white guys. We also have a LGBTQI team solely focused on matters pertaining to this group which is something that needs to be focused on

Arcadis has a very diverse workforce. Looking around the office, I would say it's probably 50/50 men and women of all different cultural backgrounds. The company is also very open to maternity leave, etc.

I believe Arcadis is one of the most diverse company in Australia.

What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?
Yes, this was very important to me in choosing a workplace. Arcadis is diverse in this regard, although could do more to support career progression and opportunities for our overseas staff situated in Romania, India and the Philippines.
