TAKE A LEAP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION:

The ANZ Finance Graduate program is about developing tomorrow's leaders, today. Our program is designed to grow you into a future leader through hands-on experience alongside a diverse team of Finance experts. One of the best ways to learn is through new experiences.

Our program will ensure you get 24 months of valuable experiences through multiple rotations as well as exposure to a diverse range of people, environments and situations. We also provide supportive coaching, peer-to-peer learning, mentoring, training, networking and sponsorship from senior leaders.

      WHERE YOU WILL BE LOCATED

We have graduates located in both our Melbourne and Sydney offices.

      YOU'LL GET EXPOSURE TO:

      Financial Control

Financial Control has the responsibility for ensuring the provision of accurate and timely financial information to a range of internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring that all statutory and regulatory reporting obligations across the Bank are met is a key accountability of Financial Control. Through Line-of-business controllership we ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial information to the Divisional Finance team and businesses.

      Financial Performance Management (FPM)

Our Decision Support teams provide strategic insight, proactive financial analysis and advice to businesses they support. They have an in-depth understanding of business performance and identify drivers. They provide regular analysis and commentary. The team are also responsible for the preparation of strategic operating plans, forecasting, managing our existing investment slate and evaluating new capital.

Finances Systems, Data and Innovation (FSDI)

FSDI manages the operational running and changes to systems for Finance and drives innovation and business change for successful initiatives to ensure significant value is achieved for Finance and the Bank.

      Divisional Insights

Our Division Insights teams provide strategic financial insight and advice in order to drive performance. They work with other parts of finance and business stakeholders to prioritise and optimise financial outcomes in line with ANZ Group and divisional objectives.

      Group Tax

      Finance Strategy & Execution

Finance Strategy & Execution takes ownership of the vision, plan and delivery of the Finance Strategy on behalf of the CFO and Deputy CFO.

      Group Treasury

Group Treasury support the management of ANZ's funding, capital, balance sheet management, liquid and risk management by delivering quality information, analysis and recommendations in a timely manner to our stakeholders that help to drive business and economic outcomes in line with strategy and risk appetite.

      Investors Relations

Investor Relations' role is to communicate with shareholders, analysts and the share market to ensure they are fully informed of the Group's strategy and performance.

      Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)

Mergers and Acquisitions support ANZ's strategic M&A activities globally and in managing the bank's portfolio of investments.

      Internal Audit

Group Procurement provides sourcing, purchasing, accounts payable and supplier management functions for ANZ. They help reduce the cost of doing business through effective supply chain management.

DISCIPLINES AND MAJORS FOR FINANCE GRADUATES

For the 2022 Finance graduate intake, we're looking to broaden the backgrounds we traditionally take our graduates from. While Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business and Commerce remain important, more and more of what we do in Finance is driven by technology and data. As a result, we're interested in the following disciplines /majors:

      • Accounting
      • Finance
      • Economics
      • Econometrics
      • Business or Commerce
      • Technology or Computing and Software Systems
      • Data Science
      • Mathematics and Statistics
      • Engineering
      • Sciences

A double discipline is desirable but not essential and a high grade point average will make for a competitive application in this program.

      DESIRABLE PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Academic achievement in relevant fields of study is important; we also look for personal attributes that will help you thrive in our working environment. The nature of our work is always changing, so having people who demonstrate resilience and adaptability are great assets. It's not always easy, but we need people who embrace a challenge. Being curious, bold and seeking new ways of doing things are the attributes we look for in addition to working collaboratively. We love new ideas and external perspectives!

Our finance graduates who have succeeded in the long term who have come through this program embrace diversity, are passionate about our customers, curious about the business we are in and love working collaboratively to develop and deliver better outcomes.

      ARE YOU IN?

We want to get to know you for who you really are, and don't believe that we can assess that by reducing your experiences to a page. This means that there is no need to send us a copy of your resume, or even your cover letter! Instead, we invite you to take part in a series of games that assess a range of cognitive abilities.

That's it! If you move to the next stage, we will invite you to do a Personality Questionnaire. There are no right or wrong answers, we just want to learn more about how you prefer to work. From here, you will be invited to do a digital interview (meaning you can interview from the comfort of your home), where you record your answers to prompts in a series of short videos.

Finally, we would love to meet you in person in our office where we have an assessment centre that includes an interview and a role play. This could be the perfect opportunity for you to take your career to the next level - apply today and give it a go!
