A typical day would include: - Morning process trend checks which are then followed by morning meetings up to 9am. - Afterwards I'd typically do more detailed checks of the area followed by short/longer term projects tasks I have, but that depends upon priorities for the day. - More urgent tasks might be developing a process plan, following up a process control issue or advanced troubleshooting for a persistent/urgent process issue.

As an area chemical engineering my day-to-day responsibilities largely focus on troubleshooting my area and identifying where to make improvements to make the process more efficient. It includes a lot of liasing with maintenance and production supervisors to schedule heater swaps, washes, drilling etc.
